Who are you really?

Who are you really?

"In order to have what you really want, you must first be who you really are." - Tim S. Grover - Author - "Relentless"

Ever thought about how much time we spend wearing a mask?

Be honest, right now, at this moment.

We are one way with friends.

Another way with our partners.

Different completely with our boss or coworkers.

But our real selves when we are all alone.

Or when we think what we are doing is done in the quiet corners of our lives that nobody will see.

When the dark corner emerges, sometimes it may shock people with our thoughts, actions, or feelings. Hence why when some celebrity gets caught in a big scandal we are all surprised. At least we used to be, I don’t think much shocks us now. But my point is that we wear a mask for the majority of the time hiding who and what we really are.

We do it for fear of being alone, losing business, or any other multitude of reasons.

For me, recently at least, I was one way out of fear of hurting someone else. I had a mask. But all that mask really did was hurt us both.

The reason I wanted to share this quote is that we all desire to “be” something great. If you don't, then you're for sure on the wrong email list as I'll beat that over the head daily.

In that search for greatness, more wealth, success, or whatever you want we try to keep that mask on. Which only hurts us more as we have natural gifts, abilities, or talents that can help us reach newer levels.

Collective programming won’t let you tap into that because everything has to be done in a certain way. “Success leaves clues” so follow the leader basically.

The worse times get, the more people are looking for help with their problems. I just heard the other day that Amazon is about to lay off 10% of its workforce. If they are doing that, then who knows which companies will start laying more people off.

Use your given skill set to help more people. That is the true currency. As long as you're building your skills, you’ll never have to worry about where your next dollar is coming from.

Don’t know where to start with skill building or what skills to focus on?
